General description:
The increasing use of modern power electronic apparatus that produce non-liner current influences and loads the network with harmonics pollution, the capacitor forms a resonant with the feeding transformer by a self-resonant frequency between 250Hz to 500Hz, it leads to the following undesirable problems:
overloading of capacitor and transformer, interference with metering and control device, computer and electric gear system , voltage distortion, amplification harmonics.These problems can be avoided by connecting the detuned/filter reactors.
